Bargain Buy

I'm a massive bargain hunter and as the song goes "I got it from my mama".

I was lusting after these boots since the day I laid eyes on them in Matalan, unfortunately, this day I was poor.
They were originally £22 which for a pair of boots isn't much at all but when you literally had £1.05 in 5p coins, they were expensive at the time.

After my sister managed to tare me away from them, I forgot about them and got on with my life, as you do, until today...
My sister and I decided to have a cheeky look in Matalan as she wanted to check out the work clothes as she's starting a new job Monday and of course I can't go in to a shop and not have a look for myself.
This is when I saw them but this time in the sale!

There were three pairs left and two were in my size (size 7 if ya wanna know) so I just had to pick up a pair and was gobsmacked to see that they were only £5, yes that's right, £5!!!
After seeing this price I just couldn't say no and snapped them up straight away.

Matalan...I love you

Hope you're well

This Week I've Been Loving... #1

I thought I'd start a 'This week i've been loving...' where I tell you what i've been raving about all week.

This week it's not anything exciting but I just had to show you my bargain bag!

I got this beaut of a bag from Tesco, yes, Tesco! It's from their Florence & Fred range (F&F) and was only £12.50!!
It's a pleather bag with tassels and I'm an absolute sucker for anything with tassels on. I previously owned a suede tassel shoulder bag which I bought off eBay but it broke after constant use so I was in desperate need for another.

I only nipped in to Tesco to pick up some groceries but when my sister dragged me in to the clothing aisle I couldn't resist a gander.
I'm always really impressed by some of the clothing that F&F do, It's not everybody's first instinct to look in a supermarket for clothing but when you do you can really find some gem items and for cheap too!

I'm really loving the bags they are selling at the moment, they look really expensive and I'm talking Zara lookalikes for quarter of the price!

So anyway that's what i've been loving this week, I highly advise you go and check out their bags, I think you'll be very surprised!

MUCH LOVE

MAC Madness

First things first...I can't believe my last post was in November 2012!? Madness! What with starting University i've completely neglected my blog!

Now It's coming towards the end of the summer hols, I thought i'd start blogging again as i've missed it and i've finally got the time, wooooo!

So, what better way to start off blogging again then to show you my most recent MAC eyeshadow purchases?

I only bought 4 eyeshadows but at £12.50 each I definitely think only buying 4 is more than acceptable!

The shades that I bought were Mythology (top left), Shroom (top right), Omega (bottom left) and Casino (bottom right).

I bought 'Mythology' and 'Casino' after watching a couple of make-up tutorials on YouTube and being inspired to try out a smokey eye look (Casino) as well as being more daring with the use of colours (Mythology).
I purchased 'Shroom' because I wanted an eyeshadow to use for my brow bone to enhance my eyebrows. This leads me to 'Omega' the eyeshadow that I use on my eyebrows, I've used this method for over a year now. It is the perfect shade to match my hair colour and doesn't give that ginger tinge to your eyebrows which some products do.

I used the eyeshadows 'Shroom' and 'Casino' last night as I wanted something subtle for going to the pub with some friends but to still look like I was making an effort!
Below are two photos of my make-up from last night (sorry about the quality, I only took quick phone photos).

I've ordered some more MAC products online today (i'm sorting out my make-up bag) and I'm thinking I might do a haul on YouTube followed by some tutorials...i'm still unsure but i'm considering it seeing as i've made a YouTube channel. I still haven't got my hands on a decent camera that records videos yet but my birthday is coming up soon so i've got my fingers crossed I get one come September...

Desired Item #1

I love these. They might not be to everyones taste but I really want a pair! I think they will look so good with a pair of skinny jeans, preferably black or a cute skater skirt. I understand that the weather these days isn't exactly the best for sandals but these are in a style of a boot (obviously) and would even look alright with some tights or sweet little ankle socks. You're probably thinking 'tights?' but i've actually tried them on in store with some tights and they strangely looked good, who'd knew!

These would be a going out pair of shoes for me personally as I cannot wear heels at the best of times but for a night out I think they'd be perfect! They were originally £65 but have now been reduced to £30 (probably because no one was buying them) so I think these are a bargain. When I get some money I definitely will be purchasing these.

What do you think?

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!
MUCH LOVE

Little Red

Boots - ASOS (old)
Faux Fur Jacket - New Look
Skirt - American Apparel
White t-shirt - Topshop
Denim Shirt - Urban Outfitters (Urban Renewal)
Bag - Mulberry
Necklace - Topshop
Rings - Next and Local Market
Watch - Guess
Bracelets - Pandora, ChloBo and Tiffany & Co

(Sorry that the photos are horrendous but i'm trying to get the hang of it)

I had the day off from University today so I decided to get up early (why!?) and go shopping with my mum and sister. I bought a couple of things so it was worth the early wake up.
I went for a more relaxed outfit today as I really wasn't in the mood for facing the public and it was quite dull and nippy outside so what's a better way than brightening things up with some bright red boots and handbag?
I absolutely love adding something bright or quirky to an outfit as I feel that it just makes a whole lot of difference. I like to do this with a funky pair of shoes or an obvious handbag.

Thank goodness it's Friday!
Have a lovely weekend :)

Much love

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

It's coming to that time of year again (yes I know it's only November) but you know it's Christmas soon when the Coca-Cola advert is on our television, right?

I'm definitely getting in the mood for spending time with family members and sipping some mulled wine. So what's better than starting my blog with a Christmas Inspired post?

I'm one of those girls who likes to get dressed up at Christmas. Even if i'm not venturing out of the house I have to wear a pretty dress!
Ever since I was young my mum put me and my older sister in matching dresses and once I was old enough to start getting ready myself, i've just carried it on.
Almost like a Christmas tradition within our family I guess (everyone has a strange tradition within their household, especially at Christmas)

So, here are some items I've found which I absolutely love for my Christmas outfit, I want it all!

1. Blue velvet dress - New Look: What's a winter wardrobe without at least one velvet item? This is why I absolutely adore this New Look dress! It's such a rich blue and the type of velvet material that has been used doesn't even look cheap compared to the price, £16.99. I was thinking this dress would look cute with some thick tights, gold jewellery and some chunky heels. For more of a twist i'd wear a pork pie hat. This dress also comes in black and a wine red colour.

2. Black suedette flatforms - Boohoo: I'm a tall girl and I hate being taller then men. If I wear a good heel I'm about 6ft2 and let's face it, men just keep getting smaller these days, so I never go for a heel higher than 3 inches (because i'm insecure like that). So when I saw these flatform boots, I was in love. They're cute yet quirky and aren't chunky looking either. I definitely think I need to purchase a pair before they get snapped up!

3. Embellished playsuit - River Island: Finding a loose fitting playsuit can be sometimes hard, so when I came across this beauty I leaped in joy, until I saw the price. If I had £50 to spare then yes, I'd buy this but I can't so instead it'll have to go on my 'wish list'. I don't like playsuits which are figure hugging so this little number is brilliant, not only is the cut great but the embellishment is so party like, perfect for looking glam on Christmas day.

4. Gold lion band rings (pack of 3) - ASOS: I have so many of the ASOS band rings, in different colours and styles. These lion style ones are bang on trend and are just too cute to say no to! If I didn't have many already, these would definitely be in my online basket.

5. Velvet glitter dress - Topshop: This is my favourite dress out of the many I came across. It's glittery, it's flattering and the price isn't horrific for Topshop. I've seen it in store and despite the fact that the glitter goes everywhere, i'm definitely going to buy it! I reckon once you've washed it, the majority of the loose glitter will come off and you won't end up leaving a trail of glitter. I think this might be the one...

6. Bow drop gold earrings - ASOS: I love earrings, especially dangly ones. I've always been a bit of silver jewellery girl but recently i've been drawn to gold. These bow chain earrings are so adorable. I reckon they would look quite delicate on the ears too so if you're going for a more 'in your face' dress, these earrings would be the perfect accessory as they're not too chunky!

7. Bronze sequin skirt - New Look: Sequin dresses have always been around but the odd sequin skirt has popped up here and there more recently. I never used to be a sequin lover, always thought it was a bit too 'bling' for my liking. I don't know why my opinion has changed but now I would really like a sequin skirt and this bronze coloured one from New Look is perfect. It's high-waisted and would look lovely with a black leotard and the boohoo boots (item number 9).

8. Jacquard silver dress - Topshop: I think the colour of this dress is quite wintery but the massive cut in the middle area is not. Despite this, it is very flattering. Wearing this with some black tights and some plain black heels, would be a very sophisticated look with a bit of a twist. Wearing a blazer over the top can give extra layering with this very cold weather.

9. Black buckle heeled boot - Boohoo: Although these boots look a little higher than 3 inches (i'm thinking 3 and a half?) they are too gorgeous for me to say no to. They'll go with pretty much anything and would look really good with some tights or bare legs. Boohoo shoes are really good quality compared to other high street stores and for the reasonable price that they are, how can you say no?

10. Bow patent brogues - River Island: These patent brogues are recently new in. They do them in a dark red colour but you can never go wrong with a standard black pair. I wear a lot of black clothing and i'm forever wearing black shoes, so buying these for my collection are a definite must. I love the stud effect, bringing a unique look to your standard black brogue.

Much love
